What if the reason this is only for this year is because Dhuum wins and Mad King Thorn's worst fears are realized! We're all Dhuuumed!

DHUUUUUUUMMMED!!! (sorry couldn't resist).

Just like Menzies goes bye-bye after completing FoW .

My bet is there's going to be a permanent change to the Underworld completion objectives, including something related to the army of Dhuum. Something like after his minions are defeated, Dhuum himself emerges from the Hall of Judgment and the players must defeat him and once again bind him in the Hall. A skill in his repertoire: Soulrending Shriek, or something similar.

Yes, my bet is on an addiitonal quest needed to complete UW: defeat Dhuum. I'm betting on a "tough" boss with a non-spell, non-attack means of removing enchantments. My hopes are sky-high.

Just hope they learned from the design mistakes of Mallyx and *don't* stick us with something that requires a super-narrow build configuration to beat.

Another note: once these quest givers have disappeared (at the end of this Halloween event) these quests will be gone forever. So keep that in mind!

Also... You may need more Transmogrifier Tonics tomorrow... Just sayin'...

Hey Regina!

Just a question: If we don't do the first quest on all our characters today, will it be available after the second quest has come out? Or should we do the quest on all the characters that we can today? o_O

This question would have been answered already, if you'd read the thread.

They will be available as long as the quest givers exist.

I guess it's safe to say that there won't be any more quests today, but at least one and perhaps multiple ones tomorrow.

An interesting thought came to mind.

Dhuum kills Grenth.

Thorn kills Dhuum.

Thorn is new God of Death.

However, there are references to Grenth in the Art of GW2 book.

Nope, Menzies isn't killed at all. Just his forces.

I doubt the old UW being changed (much). A new UW would be nice though. That way, we can get new lore, and keep the old quests.

That is, old UW made hard to UWSC (things already done about this). And a new UW is made with new lore, new mobs, and Dhuum!

Halloween quests are not daily. There are multiple quests spanning the course of the event,
but not one for each day. Just check in with the steward every so often.

Nooooo, just because there's one today, and apparently one tomorrow, it does not mean there will be one on Wendesday, or Thursday, etc. ; If there was one per day, that would mean there would be six quests in the series (Mon - Sat). I highly doubt that they've had the time to come up with that many.

Not daily in the sense that there is a NEW one every day. Probably about 3-4 quests in total that cycle over the course of the event.

I'm liking the idea of an additional defeat Dhuum objective that will rip off SF, killing speedclears fully. Just a question though, will all the quests be opening around noon? Doesn't matter much, but if the next one opens at midnight, I'd stay up.

Honestly I think they'll just do them every day until they run out, there won't be enough to do one everyday but that'd be annoying having to wait a day to see see the continuation.

I'm betting maybe 6-to-4 odds that, come Holloween: The temple artwork from Lonar's Pass will get re-used to fill out the currently inaccessible temple in UW. Inside the temple, you must fight Dhuum as part of a new UW quest. He's got a non-spell, non-attack enchant strip to hose permas.

Have you seen the skills you have? Theres a skill that makes everything in spirit range friendly.

I'd hardly call it a long run.

On a scale of 10 (1 being the easiest), I'd give it a 1.
yeah they do tame the monster but only a few with in a certian distance. it doesnt help when you have to get past more mobs that havent been tamed. but lucky thanks to good spawns i was able to do it on all my chars. xD cant wait to see whats next.

I did the quest a few times today. It was actually really fun even though it was just a few minutes long.

Default Spoiler

spoiler: a rough guide with map. can run past first and second mob with skill 1.

third mob, 2 only, knock each down with skill 3 (tab+\ is useful) while you skill 1 pass them

fourth mob skill 1 and 2, 5th mob, sneak pass, 6th mob, convert (skill 4 ) and skill 1 pass them.

last mob skill 1 + skill 3 x 2 and touch down!
